Update

Megann had an appointment with her doctor today. He increased her medications: the thalidomide was doubled, and he added carboplatin to take along with the Gemzar. When asked about a transfusion for the possible trip in December, he said she could have one of those any time she wanted one. As she was taking the chemo, she asked the nurse what she thought about her taking one now with Thanksgiving coming up and relatives coming. She and the other nurses that know Megann were all for it. So, she had blood taken today, and they will match it as best as possible. She is scheduled for a blood transfusion tomorrow. It should make her feel much stronger. Please pray for the new medication to work for Megann, and pray that the transfusion will allow her to feel much stronger for the week ahead.

Hi You don't know me but we share the same first name. My husband and I were checking our names on the computer and I saw "Megann's Story" I was curious so I read your story. I don't know you or everything about your treatments but I will keep you in my prayers. I hope your story has a wonderfully happy ending. ---Another Megann in PA.
