Update

Megann finally got a response from the doctors in Houston. They will be switching her treatment medication to Gemzar and Thalidomide. Gemzar comes through an I.V. and Thalidomide in the form of a pill. She begins treatment tomorrow. Megann has been staying with her parents for the past few days and has been in pretty bad pain. Please pray that these drugs reduce the size of her tumors and allow her pain to subside.

There's a benefit of working for a small non-profit that can only afford to rent space in an old Catholic church. That benefit is being able to go into the church anytime we want! I just went in and prayed for you Meg, and as I sat there and thought about how much I love you, I realized that the church looks a whole lot like the DeSoto/Rolling Hills building...brick on the sides and big timbers on the ceiling. It was easy to imagine I was in DeSoto and it made it more comforting. Not that I'm the one that needs comfort. I love you, I love Nancy, I love Les, I love Jon, I love Karen. My prayer is that God will take care of ALL of you.

GRIN OR GROAN...
A little boy just couldn't learn. One day his teacher asked him who signed the Declaration of Independence. He didn't know. For almost a week she asked him the same question every day, but still he couldn't come up with the right answer.
Finally, in desperation, she called the boy's father into her office. "Your boy won't tell me who signed the Declaration of Independence," she complained.
"Come here, son, and sit down," the dad said to the boy. "Now if you signed that crazy thing, just admit it so we can get out of here!"
