M.D. Anderson Update

First of all, thank you so much for your participation in the prayer chain over the past two days. The response was overwhelming.

Megann and her family met with doctors at M.D. Anderson for most of the day today. Basically, Megann has two types of cancer. She still has clear cell carcinoma and also endometroid cancer. The endometroid cancer was responding to the Doxil (chemotherapy), but the clear cell carcinoma was not. Her CA125 has been steadily dropping over the past few weeks because of the response of the second type of cancer. They did a CAT scan on Tuesday and saw new growth in her liver and pelvis. They will take her off Doxil and put her on a new type of chemo that she will take weekly (three weeks on and one week off). There are few side effects to this new type of chemo. Nothing was shown in her shoulder when they checked it out the other day, but the doctor said that sometimes if you have cancer in your liver, it can cause shoulder pain. They are admitting her tonight to run tests because of side pain that she is experiencing. She will be able to return home and get the treatments here. The doctors from M.D. Anderson want to see her back in December. Please continue to pray for Megann.

Megann,

I will keep you in my prayers - not just a one-time slot. As a friend of mine at church says, Let's e-pray now on our e-knees:
God, I'm asking that you help Megann during the time she is going through testing in the hospital. Help her to rest. Help her to feel your presence surrounding her. Thank you for being with us when things are tough. We couldn't make it without you, the Spirit's presence and Jesus who makes all of life worthwhile. Jesus has been there, done that and he understand. Thank you God through Jesus.

Hey Megann,
It's 8:40 on Saturday night. I just read about your MD Anderson visit. My heart is heavy for you. I wish I could just hold you and tell you that everything is ok. I know you probably aren't feeling that right now. I wish I could take the pain away. I can't. I wish I could just give you a special medicine to take it all away. It's not available. But, Megann what I can do is offer you up to the one who can hold you and tell you everything is ok, the one who can take away the pain, and take your name to the one who can give you His special "medicine" to take it away. I know that you must feel like this battle is overwhelming. I remember that feeling all too well. I made all those arguements and pleas before God for Tatia not too long ago... she's too young, why her, can't you just take it, can't you take her pain away, can't you calm her spirit? Megann, I'm lifting those same questions in my heart for you tonight. I wish I could just give you a hug and just hold you and cry. I cry out with you right now "life is not fair". We both know... it's not. But Megann, if there is anything I could say tonight to make it better, to bring you peace, to lift your spirits, it would be this... you have a heavenly Father that loves you. He IS holding you close. He IS there for you. He IS mighty to save. He longs to hold you and make things better. He WILL NEVER leave you to deal with this alone. He has his angels ministering all time. He knows your pain. Megann, when life is overwhelming, when it seems too much, when your heart is aching,...when you need saving...run to him! Proverbs 18:10 says..."the name of the Lord is a strong tower, the righteous run to it and they are safe." I pray that you find safety is His arms tonight. I pray you feel His strong embrace. I pray you can feel the angels moving around you taking extra special care. I pray you feel His breath, His peace, His love. You are His precious daughter Megann, and He loves you. Even though life is not fair, He is, and He is there to comfort and care for you every day of this journey of your life. May you find strength tonight in Him. May you rest sweetly. I love you sweet sister... hang in there... you are not alone... we are here for you! Love, Lisa Minton

I don't understand, but sometimes we are not supposed to. I will continue to pray for you, and not question our awesome God. You are one reason my prayer life has grown and I thank you for that! I can't remember the last time I have prayed for something more than your healing and peace. I won't give up asking God to bless you and Jon.

Megann,
I am praying for you and BELIEVE God will answer my prayers for healing. "Whatever you ask for in prayer BELIEVE that you have received it, and it will be yours." Mark 11:24
Today's "SMILE GRAM"....
~Sam went to court and received a fine for parking his car in a no-parking zone.
"Do you have anything to say?" asked the judge.
"Yes," he replied. "They shouldn't put up such misleading notices."
"What do you mean?" the judge asked.
"The sign said, 'FINE FOR PARKING HERE."
Okay, you can groan now, Meg!
Love you,

Mrs. Sheppard my name is Darian Kelly and my son Ryan Kelly is a student in your 2nd grade class. My heart first went out to you on the first day of school when Ryan gave us a letter that you written to the parents explaining about your illness and ever since then you have been in my prayers. Today was teacher/parents conference day and my wife have the letter your sent out explaining your visit to MD Anderson in Houston. I was just asking Ryan the other day when would you be back in class because I wanted to come by the class personally to let you know you have some standing in the gap for you.

I am a minister and love God with all my heart and know who He is. I believe in the healing power of God because I know there’s nothing to hard for Him. Jesus himself bore our pains and by his stripes we are heal (Isaiah 53:5). I’m not here to preach religion to you Mrs. Sheppard but to let you know that you got someone standing in the GAP for you. When God called me I told Him I will stand in the Gap for those who really need to hear from Him. God is a healer Mrs. Sheppard and God Himself says that He’s not a man that can lie. The word of God also says in III John 1:2 that God wants us to prosper and be in good health.

I don’t know what the doctors are telling you but begin to speak healing with your tongue. The bible says there’s life and death in the tongue in Proverbs 18:21. The bible explains how the tongue is one of the smallest part of the body but it can change things, much like a ship that’s steered by a small ruttier. The thing about God Mrs. Sheppard is that He can allow you live with the cancer or He can take it away all together because He’s a sovereign God. I have never been diagnosed with cancer and don’t fully understand what is taking place but I know what it feels to need God when there seems to be no one else who understands my situation and pain.

In the book of II Chronicles 20th chapter, King Jehoshaphat found himself out numbered by the Ammonites and Moabites. Now a little brief history about King Jehoshaphat was that he was a rich and powerful; king and had a very large, large army. There was about 1.2 million soldiers just assigned to serve the king and this isn’t counting the other soldiers throughout his kingdom, and that Jehoshaphat loved God. But King Jehoshaphat faced an enemy that out numbered him 3 to 1, even know he had a large army. So Mrs. Sheppard you know this must have been a large foe that came against him.

Now the interesting thing about King Jehoshaphat is that he could have fought them if they weren’t so many but he realizes he doesn’t have any power against this enemy so he calls a fast for the kingdom, and got down on his needs and prayed to God. Now to make along story short in II Chronicles 20: 12 at the end of his prayers, he said, “for we have no might against this great company (enemies) that cometh against us; neither do we know what to do, BUT OUR EYES ARE UPON THEE.

Sometimes Mrs. Sheppard we get into problems where we have to throw our hands up in the air to God and say, “Lord you see my situation and I am looking to you to fix it”. The best thing about saying this Mrs. Sheppard is that you can’ t go wrong with your hands in Gods hands, because He’s always looking out for our best interest.
God ended up miraculous defeating Jehoshaphat’s enemies because God told him that “the battle isn’t yours jehoshaphat but it’s MINE. So keep your eyes on God and He will heal your body. Don’t get caught up with what the doctors may be telling you because they are just being doctors, but remember that GOD IS JUST BEING GOD because he’s going to heal your body completely. The bible says without faith it’s impossible to please God, for he that comes to Him must believe that He is God and is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him. Jesus Christ is our mediator and died so that we may have life and life more abundantly. The tongue is powerful, and start-speaking healing no matter what the doctors are saying. King David says, I’ve been young and been old and I have never seen the righteous forsaken nor his seed begging bread.

I wish I could talk to you in person Mrs. Sheppard and personally pray with you for total healing. You got me standing in the GAP and please feel free to call me anytime at 817 571 2931 or email me at Darianmk@hotmail.com

Standing in the Gap for and with you,

Minister Darian Kelly

Megann,
Talked with your dad on Sunday & he said you were feeling better. Keep up the good work. I'll be praying for you as you undergo another round of chemo. I pray for strength for you this week.

...Did you ever notice that when you blow in a dog's face, he gets mad at you, but when you take him on a car ride, he sticks his head out the window?

Meg,
Praying for you, sweetie! Hope you are feeling stronger today! Keep your sweet smile & positive attitude. You are a real inspiration to so many people.
GRIN or GROAN:
...James, age 4, was listening to a Bible story. His dad read, "The man named Lot was warned to take his wife and flee out of the city, but his wife looked back was turned to salt." Concerned, James asked, "WHAT HAPPENED TO THE FLEA?"
...Brittany, age 3, had an earache & wanted a painkiller. She tried in vain to take the lid off the bottle. Seeing her frustration, her Mom explained it was a childproof cap & she'd have to open it for her. Eyes wide with wonder, Brittany asked, "How does it know it's me?"
...Drew, age 4, stepped onto the bathroom scale & asked, "How much do I cost."
LOVE YOU,
Charlene
