Update

At Megann’s appointment today, her doctor felt as though she had not responded to her current chemo (topetecan) after one round, as the size of her superficial tumors (that she can feel) increased over the past month. Her doctor would expect that the tumors would have stayed the same size or decreased in size if the topetecan was an effective drug for her. For that reason, she did not receive chemo today as scheduled and will be contacting her physician at MD Anderson for further treatment recommendations.

Please continue to pray for Megann, that she be blessed with physical and emotional strength, that an effective drug will be available to her that the cancer will respond to, and that the medical team of doctors in Houston will suggest the right drug for her.

We are praying that the doctors in Houston will have an answer--and the drug that will make a difference. We are praying that you will feel the presence of the army of prayer warriors standing beside you. We are praying that God will give you the strength that only He can provide. And we are praying that God will comfort you, Jon, and all of your family.

We love you, Megann, and we are begging God to answer our prayers.

Megann-

I love you, and I believe whole-heartedly that there is power in prayer. You've got a lot of people praying for you, and we all love you. Sometimes I go into your old room (now the PE room), and say a prayer for you!

Love Ya!

Meg,
We love you and we are asking God for strength and patience. We are praying that the doctors at MD Anderson will find just the right drug(s) that will make this nightmare for you go away. I know this has been a long & painful process but God is watching over you and will see you through. Hope it helps to know that you have SO MANY people that love and are praying for you.
Okay, SMILE!
GRIN or GROAN:
LIFE AS A FEMALE BEAR
If you're a bear, you get to hibernate. You do nothing but sleep for six months. I could deal with that!
If you're a mama bear, everyone knows you mean business. You swat anyone who bothers your cubs. If your cubs get out of line, you awat them & no one turns you in to CPS. I could deal with that!
If you're a female bear, your mate EXPECTS you to wake up growling. He EXPECTS that you will have hairy legs & excess body fat. I could deal with that!
I WANNA BE A BEAR!
We love you,
Charlene

GRIN OR GROAN...
There's this guy who had been lost & walking in the desert for about 2 weeks. One hot day, he sees the home of a missionary. Tired & weak, he crawls up to the door of the house & collapses. The missionary finds him & nurses him back to health. Feeling better, the man asks for directions to the next town & if he can borrow the horse he saw in the barn.
The missionary says,"Sure, but there is a special thing about is horse. You have to say "THANK GOD" to make it go and "AMEN" to make it stop.
Not paying much attention, the man says, "Sure, ok."
So he gets on the horse & says, "Thank God" & the horse starts walking. Then he says, "Thank God, Thank God" and the horse starts trotting. Feeling brave, the man says, "Thank God, thank God, thank God, thank God" and the horse takes off! Pretty soon he sees this cliff coming up & he's doing everything he can to make the horse stop.
"Whoa, stop, hold on!!!!"
Finally he remembers, "AMEN!!"
The horse stops 4" from the cliff. Then the man leans back in the saddle and says, "Thank God."

Love,
Charlene

Megann,
I am praying that God will bring healing & take the away your pain today and bless you and your precious family.

GRIN OR GROAN:
"A young doctor had just opened his first office & felt really excited. His secretary told him a man was here to see him. The young doctor told her to send him in.
Pretending to be a busy doctor, he picked up the phone just as the man came in. "Yes, that's right. The fee is $200. Yes, I'll expect you ten past two. Alright. No later. I'm a very busy man."
He hung up and turned to the man waiting. "May I help you?"
"No," said the man, "I just came in to install the phone."
Love,
Charlene
