There is also a benefit walk called Walk for the Whisper on September 30th at Baylor Regional Medical Center in Grapevine. For more information, visit this website http://www.dfwovarian.org/walk_for_the_whisper.html .

Megann has had three treatments and is expecting her last one on the 21st of this month. She will go to M. D. Anderson for this treatment and get results on how these treatments have been working. Please pray that they have removed her cancer. She is not wanting to do more chemotherapy, so we need to pray, pray, pray!! Thanks for your continued support for Megann!

Hey Meagann,
Me again... its been crazy with the start of school, football season, and a senior but I wanted you to know that I haven't forgot about you. Every day at our school in the morning we have a moment of silence, and I lift you up. Hang in there! I know that the burden can seem so heavy, but "he will carry you." Sometimes I think in life we get so caught up in the stuff and so overwhelmed with the day to day, that we forget to look for Jesus's saving grace that continues to surround us. I learned something this morning on the way to church. God spoke powerfully to me about his son. Sometimes I think we see that Jesus saved us and we put it in the past tense. We forget that Jesus is alive and well and that he is still active and working today saving us from the stuggles of this life. As I prayed driving down the road, I told God that I felt like I was being overwhelmed in a flood... a flood of activity, stuff, and that I was swimming as hard as I could to stay afloat. God gently touched my heart and spoke to my spirit and said, "quit swimming" to which I reminded him that if I did, I would drown. God laid on my heart that Jesus had a boat ready to rescue me, but if I kept swimming, then I wouldn't see it. I realized how true that is in my life... maybe in others too. I believe that God has sent us a savior, yesterday, today and tommorrow. He is ready to rescue us in the things of this life if we just look to him. Megann, I pray that you can see him. I pray that when you feel overwhelmed, drowning in the "stuff" of this life, that you have the courage to stop swimming. I pray that you let go and let Jesus rescue you. I believe he will! I believe he is waiting for us to surrender and let him be our savior. May you find the willingness today to truly let go and let him deliver you from all the "stuff" that gets in the way... all the fears, frustrations, pain, weakness, and the like. May you find sweet rest in him today. You are his special child and he longs to pull you into the boat and sail you safely to shore. I pray you find peace in the reality that he is caring for you ready to save you when you look to him for help. He loves you. He longs to save you. I hope you have a great week. May you feel God's blessing shower over you this week. I love you sweet sister. Lisa Minton

I had a dream this weekend that I was late for some sort of bible study group and when I got there, you were there, acting like it was totally normal that you would be at my bible study here in Memphis. You had on a bubble gum pink sweater with a white collar. Karen was there and she had on the same thing. Go figure. And I hugged you and it was SO real. I hope you felt the hug. Love you.

Hey, Megann! I've missed seeing you lately, but I wanted you to know we are praying for you constantly. We're all begging God to heal you. Katie is especially good at pouring on the please's: "Please, please, please, please help Megann beat her cancer!"

We love you!

Keep smiling! God has great plans for you!

Meg,hope this is a great day for you. I am praying for you.
"...I will trust & not be afraid, for the Lord is my strength and song; He is my salvation. Oh, the joy of drinking deeply from the Fountain of Salvation!" (Isaiah 12:2,3
"GRIN OR GROAN"
(1) Think about it......How old would you be if you didn't know how old you are?
(2) My friend Eric always had trouble keeping off the pounds. But when I saw him recently, he was slim & fit.
"You look great," I said. "How'd you lose the weight?"
Patting his flat stomach, he said, "My wife read me the DIET act."
Love,
Charlene
