update

Megann recently went to her parents to rest and get some energy. She is back now and is feeling better and stronger. Please continue to pray that Megann's medicine will work on her tumors. She is doing her best to keep her spirits up and not get discouraged. Your comments help her know you are praying, and they are very much appreciated by Megann!

Dear Megann,

We are continuing to pray that God will heal you completely. We pray that He will help you and us believe His promise - that He is working this for your good and for the good of all who love Him and you. We pray first that He will remove your pain - then we pray for Him to give you endurance and strength until His timing answers that prayer. We pray that He will help you feel His presence and love in spite of suffering and fear.
"My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever." Psalm 73:26

Can't tell you how great it is to get news about you on the blog as it helps me keep your friends and family at Harrison Lane updated. Can you feel our warm thoughts, prayers and hugs?? Of course, praying for success of new drug treatment and each day bringing you peace, renewed faith and always hope -- things only the Lord can provide. You are very special to us and we can't begin to tell you how much we love you. Judy Glicer

Dear Megann,
My family is continually praying for your healing. You have a strength deep within you given to you from God to get you through times like these. I know His healing hand is on you. Clint said to give you a special hug from him and to tell you that you are on his family's daily prayer list. We love you Megann.
Yours, Linda Doyle and Family

When you feel really, really frustrated or in pain read through the Psalms. They are good for the soul. They aren't "pretty" prayers but gut-wrenching, telling-God-how-it-is prayers. God already knows how you feel. Telling him helps you. I'll keep praying, too. That's what Christians are for--praying to hold you up before God. Revelation says the saints' prayers are incense that goes to God's throne and the angels throw them back down to earth to accomplish God's will.

It's crazy me again! It was so good to see you last week. You looked great. I know you were tired but you still looked beautiful. We are in the process of moving the church so I've been busy but I pray for you EVERYDAY! Glad this treatment is not making you so ill.
GRIN or GROAN: TOP TEN REASONS GOD MADE EVE...
10. God was worried that Adam would frequently become lost in the garden because he would not ask for directions.
9. God knew that one day Adam would require someone to locate and hand him the remote.
8. God knew Adam would never go out and buy himself a new fig leaf when his wore out and would therefore need Eve to buy one for him.
7. God knew Adam would never be able to make a doctor's, dentist, or haircut appointment for himself.
6. God knew Adam would never remember which night to put he garbage on the curb.
5. God knew if the world was to be populated, men would never be able to handle the pain and discomfort of childbearing.
4. As the Keeper of the Garden, Adam would never remember where he left his tools.
3. Apparently, Adam needed someone to blame his troubles on when God caught him hiding in the garden.
2. As the Bible says, It is not good for man to be alone!
And finally, the Number 1 reason why God created Eve . .
1. When God finished the creation of Adam, He stepped back, scratched his head, and said, "I can do better than that."

Charlene

Megann,

I heard about your illness from our friends at Horace Mann. I got married and moved to San Antonio in July '05. I just wanted to let you know that you have been in my thoughts and prayers often. I'm glad I looked around and found this blog. My mom is an ovarian cancer survivor for 10 years now. God provides amazing strength and courage in times like these. You're a fighter, I know you are. Hang tough, and draw strength from all who love you. I can see that you have a huge fan club! Love, Lanet (Collier) Clark

It was good to see you Wednesday night. I am hopeful that your pain is subsiding. Our family is spending time in prayer tonight for you as we sit around our first fire of the year. Along with our toasty fingers and toes, our hearts are warm as well with love for you and Jon. Our continued prayer is for your healing as well as the strong bond that continues to grow between you and Jon. Fight the good fight my dear friend! Thinking of you.

Meg-
Just got these verses from another blog, another cancer struggle. These are the verses that are inspiring her right now.

I love you!
Kate

Psalm 71: 1& 2
"I run for dear life to God,
I'll never live to regret it.
Do what you do so well;
GET ME OUT OF THIS MESS AND UP ON MY FEET."

Psalms 18: 20. . .
"God made my life complete
when I placed all the pieces before him.
When I got my act together
he gave me a fresh start.
Now I'm alert to God's ways;
I don't take God for granted.
Every day I review the ways he works;
I TRY NOT TO MISS A TRICK.
I feel put back together,
and I'm watching my step.
God rewrote the text of my life
when I opened the book of my heart to his eyes."

Megann,
sent you and your folks a card while you were there but maybe you had already left. I know you blessed them while you were there - you have a gift for that. Don't think for a minute that just'cause we're off in the woods here that we don't keep up with you AND keep you in our prayers.
We love you.
