Update #4

Megann and her family met with the doctors today in Houston. Her CA125, which is a tumor marker, has risen to 278 (normal is anything below 20). The doctor recommended a type of chemo called Doxil. This medicine would be given to her through a port in her side. She will take 3 to 4 treatments. Her first treatment will start tomorrow morning at ten. She will do the first and last treatments at MD Anderson and the other two here in Fort Worth having one treatment every 28 days. The doctors will monitor her closely through her treatments. The good news about the side effects of the chemo is that she gets to keep her hair! She will experience a lot of fatigue and her hands and feet will blister easily. After the four treatments, she will be reassessed at MD Anderson. If her tumor markers have not decreased, they will discuss further options. Megann is very optimistic about this treatment and asks for prayers that this treatment will make all of the tumors disappear! Thank you for those who have already supported Megann's illness financially as all of the treatments and travel are so expensive for her and Jon. Please continue to pray that God will use this medicine to take away her cancer completely!!

Megann, Jon, Nancy, Les, Karen and Kenny, Even though we've missed your growing up days and all the events surrounding your family, you all were thought about so many times. The last several months you have been in our prayers and on congregational prayer lists for comfort and healing hands as the doctors fight on your behalf. We pray that God will grant the doctors the wisdom needed to eradicate the tumors as the medicine works on your behalf. From all the notes, you are a wonderful young lady. I'm sorry we missed knowing you.(a touch of your mom I see and Jeanne too in you) Stay strong and feel all the loving arms embracing you. Love, Pat and David

Hi Megann,

I was thinking about you tonight and praying for you. I would love to talk with you since it has been so long, but I know you are probably overwhelmed with visitors and phone calls. You need to rest. We will catch up soon. I love you, my sister.

There are many people in the Cleveland School District who love you and are praying for divine intervention from the Great Physician. Nothing is too big for God, and we know that He loves you and will take care of you.

But, now I'm back & I have to leave you with a fun thought for the day...
TEACHER: Donald, what is the chemical formula for water?
DONALD: H I J K L M N O
TEACHER: What are you talking about?
DONALD: Yesterday you said it's H to O.

Hope you have a great week. Your strength is an inspiration to us!
We love you & your family!

Hope you are having a GREAT day! We are praying for complete healing! Just keep smiling & trust in the Lord.
Here's a smile for the day:
TEACHER: George Washington not only chopped down his father's cherry tree, but also admitted to it. Now, Louie, do you know why his father didn't punish him?
LOUIE: Sure, because George still had the ax in his hand.
We Love you,

Keep smiling, sweetheart! God loves you and so do we. We remember in our prayers & thoughts & ask God daily for complete healing!
Your smile story for the day...
An elderly man had serious hearing problems for many years. He went to the doctor & was fitted for a set of hearing aids that allowed him to hear 100%.
He went back to the doctor one month later for a checkup. "Your hearing is perfect. Your family must be really pleased that you can hear again."
The man replied, "Oh, I haven't told my family yet. I just sit around & listen to the conversations. I've changed my will three times."
MORAL - Be careful of the quiet ones!
Love you,
Gerald & Charlene
