Update # 3

Megann met with her doctor at MD Anderson Thursday after doing some bloodwork. She has Clear Cell Carcinoma. It is very aggressive and spreads quickly. What concerns Jon and Megann is that this is a rare form of cancer that is not seen in many people. They are going tomorrow for another CAT scan. They will come home after that. They will return to MD Anderson next Thursday when her case will be presented at a staffing meeting and treatment options will be discussed. Megann is wanting prayers that when the doctors meet next week, they will know how to figure out this type of cancer. On a positive note, the doctor told Jon and Megann of a case she had that was very similar to Megann's case, and that person has been cancer-free for five years. Please continue to pray fervently!

Megann,

I am in Amarillo and know Bill & Gina. I've been praying for you since I first learned of your diagnosis. God has an incredible Power to heal; He also has the power to comfort, protect, love and help us in ways we can neither understand or imagine.

Hang on to that hope and faith in the Lord that He is all-knowing and all-powerful and He has not only His hands on you to draw you close to Him as He brings you comfort and peace; but he has His eyes on you simply because He loves you so much, He can't take His eyes off of you.

Hey Bunko Babe,

You can count on many fervant prayers from your brothers and sisters in Stillwater. I called the Poes and left a message with Richard to have Norma call you. I got a message this AM from Norma asking for an update because she couldn't get a hold of you.

Hang in there. If you need a weekend of pampering, call and Laura and I will be there.

Much love,
Jill

Dear Megann and Jon --- Your church family in Stillwater is praying for you both. God is watching over and has you both in his hand. If ". . . faith as a mustard seed. . . " can move a mountain (Matt. 17:20), then surely nothing but good can come from all the faith that has been expressed in all the messages that have been posted to you.

With love,
Carol Maples
