Megann's friends and family gathered together to walk in her honor on Saturday, September 29th. It is hard to believe that Megann did this very same walk last year. The annual walk was held at Baylor Grapevine to raise money/awareness for ovarian cancer. We paused for a group picture before the walk. Thanks to everyone who came out and to Laurie for heading it up!

The annual "Walk for the Whisper" is September 29th at Baylor Medical Center in Southlake, TX. The purpose of the walk is to raise awareness and assist in research for ovarian cancer. We are forming a team called "Team Megann" in honor of Megann's brave fight with this disease. If you are interested in joining our team, please contact Heritage Church of Christ at (817) 741-0499. A Building Named for Megann

This is part of a letter that was sent to Megann's aunt regarding a school that they are naming after Megann. They were inspired by her story and are even posting a picture of her in the building!

How are you this morning? Hope fine as we are. Kindly have my condolences for the death of Megann Shepherd who has returned to her Creator for rest. I know how you feel especially the pain she underwent. It is my prayers that God continue to console her entire family, relatives and the brotherhood.

Education
Concerning the proposed name for the school, it is a welcome one that the entire administration is in favor of. The proposal comes in at a time when we are just about to complete the registration of the school with the Ministry of Education. For the past we have been operating on a temporary permit. This was due to the lack of building and adequate spacing. Now that we have our newly constructed building officials from the ministry will now come to inspect our compound paving the way for our permit.

In this light, the school will now be called "Church of Christ Good Shepherd Academy". I can imagine kids telling their friends that " We are going to Good Shepherd." Truly the name Shepherd is worth to be mentioned.

Sharing Megann's Recipes!

Here are some of Megann's recipes that Megann's mom shared. I've also included the ones that were posted in the comment section. Enjoy!!

Suzanne Wood’s Pecan Pie
3 eggs
½ cup sugar
2 Tbsp melted butter
¾ cup of dark Karo
2 Tbsp flour
¾ cup of light Karo
¼ tsp vanilla
2/3 cup of pecans (chopped or whole, your choice)

Beat eggs then add other ingredients. Save the Karo and nuts for last and it makes it easier to mix.

Makes one deep dish pie.

Bake at 425 for 10 minutes. Reduce to 325 for 40-45 minutes. Should be firm when shaken.

I use those foil covers for the crust.

Nana’s Double Divinity

Mixture 1
3 cups sugar
3/4 cups water
1 cup light corn syrup

Mixture 2
1 cup sugar
1 cup water

3 egg whites
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup nuts
Slightly butter 9x13 pan.

Cook mixture 1 in sauce pan, stirring until sugar is dissolved. Then cook without stirring until firm-ball stage- 250*. (Takes about 45 minutes.)

Just a little before mixture 1 reaches firm ball stage, begin cooking mixture 2.

Pour mixture 1 slowly over 3 stiffly beaten egg whites and continue beating very fast until mixture 2 reaches the very firm ball stage- 260*to 268* (about 20 minutes).

Least 5 minutes. Add mixture 2 and beat at high speed until candy stands in peaks and will not stick to a gentle touch of the finger.

Add 1 teaspoon vanilla and 1 cup nuts. Pour into slightly butter pan and cut into squares. Yield: 3 lbs. or 50 average servings.

Joe Anna Dickerson’s Brownie Drops

2 bars Bakers German Sweet Chocolate
1 T butter
2 eggs
¾ C sugar
¼ C unsifted flour
¼ teas baking powder
¼ teas cinnamon
¼ teas salt
½ teas vanilla
¾ C pecans

Melt chocolate and butter. Beat eggs til foamy, then add sugar, 2 T at a time. Beat til thickened. Blend in chocolate mixture. Add flour, baking pdw., salt, and cinnamon. Blend.

Stir in vanilla and nuts. Drop by Teas onto greased baking sheet. Bake at 350* until cookies feel set when touched. (about 10 minutes). Cool slightly on sheet before removing.

Gladys Flood’s Cream Pie

¾ C sugar
3 T cornstarch
3 eggs, separated
2 ½ C milk
1 tsp vanilla
Pinch of salt
1 T butter
1 cup coconut (if you want coconut cream pie)

Scald milk. Mix sugar, cornstarch, and salt. Add to mild and stir until thick (scorches easily so stir constantly). Pour a little mixture into beatern egg yolks stirring till well mixed. Add to mild. Cook about 10 minutes til thick. Remove from head, add butter and vanilla. (Add 1 C coconut if you want coconut cream pie) . Spoon into crust. Top with meringue. (If making coconut cream pie, sprinkle with coconut ). Bake until meringue is slightly brown

Meringue

Beat 3 egg whites until frothy and add about ½ half teas cream of tartar. Beat until stiff and slowly add 5 T sugar.

Southern Pralines – cooked in microwave--wonderful

1 ½ cups firmly packed light brown sugar
2/3 cup half-and half
1/8 teas salt
2 tablespoons butter
1 ½ cups pecans

Butter waxed paper.

Combine sugar, half-and-half, and salt in a deep 3-quart casserole. Mix well. Stir in butter. Microwave at HIGH for 10 minutes or until mixture reaches soft ball stage (240*), stirring once.

Stir in pecans; cool about 1 minute.

Beat by hand until mixture is creamy and begins to thicken (about 3 minutes). Drop by tablespoons onto waxed paper; Let stand until firm. Yield: about 2 dozen.

Coffee Cake (Monkey Bread)

1 pkg Frozen dinner rolls
¼ C granulated sugar
½ c chopped pecans
½ C melted butter
1 C brown sugar
1 small pkg. butterscotch pudding mix – not instant
2 teas ground cinnamon

Lightly grease a tube pan. Mix both sugars, pudding mix, and cinnamon. Set aside. Sprinkle ¼ C sugar mix on bottom of pan, Sprinkle pecans over this. Set aside. Dip each piece of dough (thawed or frozen) in melted butter and roll in remaining sugar mixture. Place in pan evenly. Top with any remaining butter and sugar mixture. Let the dough rise in a warm area until double in size (do not let dough come over top of pan). Preheat oven to 350. Place pan on a large cookie sheet and bake for 30-40 min. or until brown. Remove from oven and invert on large plate.

Did not use all sugar mixture-probably about half. Could use left over portion for syrup if needed.

Jeanne’s Pork Chops—good to cook for Sunday dinner

4 large pork chops
4 T butter
Flour
Paprika
Salt
Pepper
Sour cream-8oz carton
Sliced onion-sliced thin
¼ c milk
Green olives-small jar

Sprinkle pork chops with paprika. Dredge in flour. Melt butter in large skillet that can be covered. Brown chops in butter until brown on both sides. Heat sour cream and onions together. Pour over pork chops. Add milk. Turn down heat, cover, and cook for about 1 ½ hours (depending on thickness of chops). Before serving, add olives. Delicious with mashed potatoes.

Kedra Suggs’ Lime Salad

16 marshmallows or ¼ lb
1 cup milk
8 oz cream cheese
1 #2 undrained can pineapple
1 cup whipping cream, whipped
2/3 cup mayonnaise
1 small package lime jello

Melt marshmallows and milk in double boiler. Pour hot milk over jello and stir. Add cheese and stir. Add pineapple with juice. Cool. Blend in whipped cream and mayonnaise.

Spaghetti Casserole

28 oz spaghetti sauce
1 lb. ground beef
8 oz sour cream
16 oz cottage cheese
12 oz spaghetti
1-2 cups mozzarella

In two 8x8 pans or one 13” pan, layer pasta, sour cream, cottage cheese, meat and sauce. Top with cheese.

Nana’s Sage Chicken

1 chicken or 4 chicken breasts
4 T butter
Flour—about ½ cup
Salt
Sage—2 T (more if you like sage)
Pepper
Vegetable oil
Milk

Mix sage, flour, salt, and pepper. Heat vegetable oil in skillet. Dredge chicken in flour mixture, and brown in oil. When brown on both sides, add about 2 cups milk (enough to almost cover chicken). Reduce heat and cook for about 1 hour. Good with mashed potatoes.

Wanda Scogin’s Green Bean bundles

Canned whole green beans (if fresh or frozen, steam a little)
Hickory salt
Melted butter
bacon

Can prepare day before. Wrap beans with about ½ slice bacon. Place in 9x13 pan.

Bake until bacon is done.

Banana Pudding

1 large package vanilla instant pudding
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 (8 ounce) whipped topping
1 pound box vanilla wafers
6 large bananas
3 ½ cups milk

Mix pudding mix, sweetened condensed milk, and milk, using a fork ( no mixer). Add whipped topping. Mix well. Arrange wafers around sides of 9x13x2 inch pan. Layer with wafers, bananas, pudding. Refrigerate.

22 Minute Chocolate Cake (really takes about 30 minutes)

2 cups flour
2 cups sugar
1 stick oleo
½ cup shortening
1 cup water
3 ½ T cocoa
½ cup buttermilk
2 eggs
1 tsp soda
1 tsp vanilla

Do not use mixer. Combine flour and sugar in large bowl. In saucepan combine and bring to boil: oleo, shortening, cocoa, water.

Pour over flour and sugar. Do not wash pan.

Combine: buttermilk, eggs, soda, and vanilla. Add to other mixture and mix all. Pour into greased pan. Bake for about 25 minutes.

Frosting

1 stick oleo
3 ½ T cocoa
1 lb. powdered sugar
1 cup nuts
1/3 cup milk (adjust to amt of sugar)

When cake has been cooking 22 minutes, combine in same saucepan: oleo, cocoa, milk. Bring to slight boil. Add: powdered sugar and nuts. Pour over cake when removed from oven.

Crescent Roll Chicken

2 C cooked chicken
1 c broccoli. chopped
1/2 c red bell pepper or black olives
1 c shredded cheddar
1 glove garlic
1/2 c Mayonaise
1 teas dried dill
1 pinch dried onions
2 pkgs crescent rolls
egg white
2 T slivered almonds

Preheat oven to 375. Combine Chicken, brocolli, and pepper. Add cheese, garlic, mayonaise,
dill, and pinch of dried onion. Roll dough 3" deep and 1 1/2"
wide. Pile chicken on center. Braid by lifting strips across and pinching together, turning
to twist. Brush with egg white, sprinkle with almonds. Bake 25 minutes

Broccoli Salad

Toss together:
2 bunches broccoli
½ bottle bits
5 green onions chopped
½ cup raisins
¼ cup sunflower kernels

Mix together:
1 cup mayonnaise
¼ cup sugar
1 T vinegar

Pour over salad. (Good the next day if not all eaten that night.)

Heavenly Banana Delight

One 31/2 ounce package vanilla instant pudding mix
One 14 ounce can sweetened condensed milk
1 cup milk
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup sour cream
One 12 ounce box vanilla wafers
3or 4 bananans sliced
3 Tbs. chocolate syrup

In a large mixing bowl, combine the pudding mix, condensed milk and milk, and beat for 2 minutes or until well blended. Refrigerate for 10 minutes. In another bowl, whip the heavy cream. Add the whipped cream and sour cream to the pudding mixture. Place half the vanilla wafers in the bottom of a 13x9x2 inch dish. Top with half the sliced bananas, half the pudding mixture, and a drizzle of chocolate syrup. Repeat each layer and decorate the top with the remaining chocolate syrup. *I put this in my trifle bowl. I used the large box of instant pudding because I like more pudding and I just added 1 ½ c. of milk instead of 1 cup and I did about 2 cups of whipping cream and reserved some for the top. With the whipping cream that I reserved for the top I added powdered sugar to sweeten it. I left out the chocolate syrup but if I would have had pecans in my freezer I would have topped it with chopped pecans, that would have been prettier. Also, strawberries. I almost left the bananas out completely to just do strawberries, but I went ahead and did some bananas too. So you can pretty much so what you want to it. Enjoy.

Creamy, Dreamy, Spinach, Onion, and Bacon Dip
May be made up to 2 days ahead of time, covered, and refrigerated.
Let stand 20 minutes before baking as directed.

1 lb bacon, cooked and crumbled
1 10 oz pkg frozen chopped spinach, thawed and squeezed dry
1 10 oz pkg frozen chopped onions, thawed and squeezed dry
3 (8 ounces) packages cream cheese, softened
1 (5 ounce) package shredded Parmesan cheese
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
½ cup mayonnaise

Preheat over to 350*Combine all ingredients except corn chips in a medium bowl. Spoon mixture into a 2-quart baking dish. Bake 30 minutes, or until hot and bubbly. Serve with corn chips. Megann's comments: Did not list corn chips in ingredients, but you know what I mean. You can buy any size you want. This is good while the guys watch football. Can chop your own onions, but this is easier.

BBQ Beef

Slow cook a 2 pound beef roast in the crock pot. Drain juices. Shred beef. Combine...
1 7 oz bottle ketchup
6 oz Coke
1 1/2 TBS liquid smoke
2 TBS brown sugar
2 TBS applesauce
2 TBS worcestershire sauce
1 TBS mustard

Pour sauce over shredded beef in the crock pot and cook 3-4 hours longer.

Last Wednesday friends and family gathered at the Heritage Church of Christ to celebrate Megann’s life. Later that day, her body was taken to Mt. Zion Cemetery in Midlothian, TX. It is a quaint, historic, community cemetery with large trees, and many birds and butterflies. A temporary decoration has been placed on her grave until a headstone can be erected .

We know Megann valued each and every prayer and never took one for granted. Her family also values your prayers.

We, like Megann, continue to remember, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” (IICor.12:9)

Today, our precious Megann lost her battle with ovarian cancer and won her eternal crown. She left this world to join her Heavenly Father in a place where there is no pain or suffering. God bless you, sweet Megann. We long for the day when we will see you again.

"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing."

UPDATE:

Megann's funeral will be at Heritage Church of Christ at 11:00 am, Wednesday, May 9, 2007. There will be a visitation Wednesday at 10:00 am in the church Parlor. The family will have a meal at church at noon then proceed to Midlothian Cemetery, Midlothian, TX , for the burial at 3:30 pm.

As of May 4:
Megann is staying with her parents. Jon’s parents were here to help out, too. She met Dr. Schorge with UT Southwestern Medical Center Wednesday morning. He is very compassionate and had positive remarks. She will begin a new treatment, consisting of Taxol and Avastin, Tuesday morning. Everyone is very thankful. This treatment combination has to work, and it will! Jon’s parents helped tremendously caring for her. They have gone home and will return sometime during the summer. Her aunt and cousin are coming today. Aunt Kay is the one who has researched the different studies and medications, and Daphne has helped with pain management. Her sister, Karen, has been the one doing much of the phone work. A family friend, Suzanne, told them about UT Southwestern Medical Center and all the wonderful work they are doing. It is a team effort, and the greatest contributions to this team are your prayers. Please pray specifically that the treatment works and that Megann's pain will subside. Megann is humbled by your support and prayers.

CAT Scan Results

Megann got her scan results today. After visiting with Dr. Hancock, the ct scan revealed that the disease is slowly progressing. He strongly encouraged her to seek further treatment at an investigational study facility because the "approved chemos" have been tried and a new regimen is needed while she is still feeling strong. She is actively seeking out a Phase II study that would be in relatively close proximity. Please pray that Megann will soon qualify for a successful treatment option.

San Antonio

Megann and her family left for San Antonio on Tuesday and met with the doctors on Wednesday. She learned that CTRC has from 30 - 45 Phase I studies on solid tumors. The doctors in the program would be glad to work with Megann at sometime in the future. These are investigational studies where many different types of cancer are treated with an experimental drug. The doctors she met with felt she should continue her current treatment plan. As always, Megann appreciates your prayers and the help you have given with travel expenses!

Megann and Jon left today (Tuesday) for San Antonio. They are going to meet with doctors about the possibility of using experimental drugs. Please pray for the doctors that they will have the wisdom to know which medication to give Megann that will TAKE AWAY the cancer COMPLETELY.

Megann met with Dr. Hancock today. One of the tumors to the left side of her stomach did decrease in size from a 4.5 to 3.8 cm. This tumor was the clear cell cancer. The rest of the cancer has remained the same or stable. Therefore, it is not growing. The combination of chemos is working now. She will need to find another treatment that will be affective in alleviating all of the cancer. Dr. Hancock has recommended and is making the appointment for her to go to San Antonio next week during Jon's break. There is a Cancer Treatment Research Center (CTRC) where there are the most options for investigational drugs. Please pray for their safety as they travel and that the group of doctors there assigned to Megann's case will find the best treatment.

Megann had a scan done yesterday. She received a call from a nurse today, and things are stable. She will go back and speak with the doctor on Monday. Another update will follow as soon as she and her doctor meet and talk more about the scan results. Please pray for Dr. Hancock and the decisions he will make regarding further treatments and that Megann continues to tolerate the chemo.

A cat scan has been scheduled for March 8th at 7:45 am. On Monday Megann has a chemo treatment. Her counts have been low, so she is praying that she will be able to have chemo as scheduled. Her energy has been great and she has not been sick, so prayers have definitely been answered!

Here is an update that I received by email from Megann. I thought it would be best to just write her exact words!

**I have been feeling good - especially since the transfusion on Monday. I am so appreciative of all the support that we have continually received.
Here are some things I thought of to pray for:
That I remain in good health physically and emotionally.
Dr. Hancock and the decisions that are to be made towards further treatment.
Complete healing, of course!

Megann had a new scan done last week. The doctor's report found no new growth! There are two new drugs that he would like to try, but they have not been approved for ovarian cancer. One of them is Evastin. He is thinking about what to do next because there are only so many more treatments that she can have of the Carbo Platin. But, for the past several doctor visits things have been growing, so at least this has held things off and stopped the growth. We just need to pray about the next move and that the new drugs her doctor would like to try come available soon. We also need to pray that, with the new treatment, Megann continues to feel as good as she does.

Here is a quick update for those of you who have been wondering about Megann. Megann and Jon headed to Alabama to be with her family for Christmas. They had a great time and made it home safely.

As far as MD Anderson, it has been put on hold for now. They plan to have Dr. Hancock schedule a scan and then go from there. She just started her third round of the new treatment with Carbo Platin. With this new treatment, she has had more energy and less pain. We will update with scan results and further treatment options for Megann as soon as more news comes available. In the meantime, your comments and prayers continue to be especially comforting for Megann.

Megann has been feeling much better after her blood transfusion and extra chemo. This week has been an especially good one for her. Please pray that she continues to gain strength and that this new treatment option is successful in ridding her of this cancer.

Megann had an appointment with her doctor today. He increased her medications: the thalidomide was doubled, and he added carboplatin to take along with the Gemzar. When asked about a transfusion for the possible trip in December, he said she could have one of those any time she wanted one. As she was taking the chemo, she asked the nurse what she thought about her taking one now with Thanksgiving coming up and relatives coming. She and the other nurses that know Megann were all for it. So, she had blood taken today, and they will match it as best as possible. She is scheduled for a blood transfusion tomorrow. It should make her feel much stronger. Please pray for the new medication to work for Megann, and pray that the transfusion will allow her to feel much stronger for the week ahead.

Megann recently went to her parents to rest and get some energy. She is back now and is feeling better and stronger. Please continue to pray that Megann's medicine will work on her tumors. Megann finally got a response from the doctors in Houston. They will be switching her treatment medication to Gemzar and Thalidomide. Gemzar comes through an I.V. and Thalidomide in the form of a pill. She begins treatment tomorrow. Megann has been staying with her parents for the past few days and has been in pretty bad pain. Please pray that these drugs reduce the size of her tumors and allow her pain to subside.

At Megann’s appointment today, her doctor felt as though she had not responded to her current chemo (topetecan) after one round, as the size of her superficial tumors (that she can feel) increased over the past month. Her doctor would expect that the tumors would have stayed the same size or decreased in size if the topetecan was an effective drug for her. For that reason, she did not receive chemo today as scheduled and will be contacting her physician at MD Anderson for further treatment recommendations.

Please continue to pray for Megann, that she be blessed with physical and emotional strength, that an effective drug will be available to her that the cancer will respond to, and that the medical team of doctors in Houston will suggest the right drug for her.

M.D. Anderson Update

First of all, thank you so much for your participation in the prayer chain over the past two days. The response was overwhelming.

Megann and her family met with doctors at M.D. Anderson for most of the day today. Basically, Megann has two types of cancer. She still has clear cell carcinoma and also endometroid cancer. The endometroid cancer was responding to the Doxil (chemotherapy), but the clear cell carcinoma was not. Her CA125 has been steadily dropping over the past few weeks because of the response of the second type of cancer. They did a CAT scan on Tuesday and saw new growth in her liver and pelvis. They will take her off Doxil and put her on a new type of chemo that she will take weekly (three weeks on and one week off). There are few side effects to this new type of chemo. Nothing was shown in her shoulder when they checked it out the other day, but the doctor said that sometimes if you have cancer in your liver, it can cause shoulder pain. They are admitting her tonight to run tests because of side pain that she is experiencing. She will be able to return home and get the treatments here. The doctors from M.D. Anderson want to see her back in December. Please continue to pray for Megann.

They wanted her to come early to get lab work and tests completed. Jon will meet her, and her appointment is scheduled for Thursday at 11:00 with her doctor.

National Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month

Megann has had three treatments and is expecting her last one on the 21st of this month. She will go to M. D. Anderson for this treatment and get results on how these treatments have been working. When Megann first visited with her doctor at MD Anderson, she encouraged Megann to go on a trip now while she's feeling up to it (before treatments, etc). So, Megann's extended family sent her on a trip to Savannah! Megann went with her sister and cousin. They stayed at the Hamilton Turner Inn which use to be an early mayor of Savannah's house. It was the first house to receive electricity in Savannah. They also visited The Lady & Sons restaurant, which is owned by Paula Deen from The Food Channel. Megann loves Paula Deen! Megann's sister also arranged for Megann to receive a signed copy of one of Paula Deen's cookbooks! She is very blessed to have such wonderful family members that care for her so much. I know she is very grateful for the trip.

Megann received her second round of chemo yesterday (Friday). This time Megann should be feeling much more energetic because the doctors discovered that she was very anemic (.5 away from needing a transfusion!). This explains why she has been so lethargic lately. They gave her a shot, and today she feels better and has a lot more energy! Please continue to pray that God will completely heal Megann. She also starts back to work this Friday. Please pray for her stamina, immune system, and for this to be a non-stressful year for her!

The Heritage Church of Christ Power Zone kids went on a trip to Houston, TX this past weekend. They participated in Road Map. This is an event that focuses on prayer. They gather together at several different places and pray. One place that the group met was MD Anderson. After praying with the group of Road Map participants, the Power Zone group got together said a special prayer for Megann and her doctors. God hears the prayers of a child! Megann had her first round of chemotherapy. She is feeling ok and is trying to keep down lots of water. She still appreciates all of your encouragement financially, prayerfully, and through the comments left on this blog. We need to pray continually over the next few months while she is taking these treatments for her stamina and for the chemo to work!

Megann and her family met with the doctors today in Houston. Her CA125, which is a tumor marker, has risen to 278 (normal is anything below 20). The doctor recommended a type of chemo called Doxil. This medicine would be given to her through a port in her side. She will take 3 to 4 treatments. Her first treatment will start tomorrow morning at ten. She will do the first and last treatments at MD Anderson and the other two here in Fort Worth having one treatment every 28 days. The doctors will monitor her closely through her treatments. The good news about the side effects of the chemo is that she gets to keep her hair! She will experience a lot of fatigue and her hands and feet will blister easily. After the four treatments, she will be reassessed at MD Anderson. If her tumor markers have not decreased, they will discuss further options. Megann is very optimistic about this treatment and asks for prayers that this treatment will make all of the tumors disappear! Thank you for those who have already supported Megann's illness financially as all of the treatments and travel are so expensive for her and Jon. Please continue to pray that God will use this medicine to take away her cancer completely!!

Megann met with her doctor at MD Anderson Thursday after doing some bloodwork. She has Clear Cell Carcinoma. It is very aggressive and spreads quickly. What concerns Jon and Megann is that this is a rare form of cancer that is not seen in many people. They are going tomorrow for another CAT scan. They will come home after that. They will return to MD Anderson next Thursday when her case will be presented at a staffing meeting and treatment options will be discussed. Megann is wanting prayers that when the doctors meet next week, they will know how to figure out this type of cancer. On a positive note, the doctor told Jon and Megann of a case she had that was very similar to Megann's case, and that person has been cancer-free for five years. Please continue to pray fervently!

Sunday, June 18th, the elders prayed over Megann surrounded by her many friends and family. It was truly amazing. Anyone who witnessed it felt God already at work. Megann has such a positive attitude about her cancer. She asked me to include this prayer that was received in an email. She has been so humbled by the comments and prayers offered on her behalf. Please check back for a medical update after her doctor appointment on Thursday at MD Anderson. Until then, please pray specifically for:

The Surrender Prayer for a Cancer Patient

The Lord is my Healer, I shall not want.

The purpose of this website is to get information out about Megann to everyone out there who believes in the power of prayer. Megann's cancer has returned. She is leaving on Wednesday, June 21st for a Thursday appointment at MD Anderson in Houston, Texas. She will be talking with doctors at the center to hear about treatment options for her. She is also going to Dallas tomorrow to see a nutritionist that specializes in cancer patients. Please continue to check this website for updates on Megann.
